Here's a little about my journey to find a life that I look forward to embracing each day!

Years ago, I found myself at a crossroad and wanting to change the trajectory of my life. Despite outward appearances, I felt a sense of discontent and emptiness within. There had to be more than merely going through the motions each day. I was seeking temporary solutions to fill the void I felt inside, yet these fixes fell short in providing lasting contentment. The discontent within me was affecting my children and relationships more than I realized, causing more suffering than I cared to admit. This led me to acknowledge that I had lost touch with myself, resorting to unhealthy habits as a means of coping, which only served to distance me further from my authentic self.

Wanting to have a harmonious, joyful, and purposeful life, I set off on a journey of self-exploration and personal development. As a part of my exploration, I knew I had to take a deep and honest look at my overall lifestyle and unwanted habits. I started with a habit I knew was holding me back from being my best Self: alcohol. However, changing my relationship with alcohol seemed scary.

Alcohol was used as a way to connect with others, to share experiences with friends and family, to cope with life's challenges, and enhance its pleasures. If I was feeling happy, down, bored, or thrilled, it was the magic elixir that seemed to make everything okay, even better, or so I thought. Over time, as I grew more conscious of the times that I consumed alcohol, I started to deeply question the insidious role it played in my life and the subtle yet harmful influence it had on many other people's lives. I started to notice that most social outings seemed to revolve around drinking, and societal norms heavily promoted it as an accepted default activity. I was seeing things more clearly and seeing things for what they really were, instead of turning my head the other way. This was going to be a challenge, but I knew in my heart that if I didn't take action, I would end up in the same place, lacking inner peace and fulfillment. It was time to empower myself to take control in order to thrive in the life I wanted.

I did just that! I started. Sometimes just starting down a new path is the hardest part. Investing time in understanding myself and embracing new thoughts and beliefs has paved the way for over 15 years of living an alcohol-free life. My story is one of grace, resilience and determination that I found within myself. I can't put into words how fortunate I feel to have gone on this incredible journey even with all the ups and downs.

As it does, the Universe was working in my favor. At a book club meeting, I heard of This Naked Mind by Annie Grace. From the beginning pages, I felt a strong inner stirring. The relatable stories and scientific research confirmed many of the the truths I had already come to know. This knowledge sparked my interest in wanting to learn more deeply about how our brains work. With eagerness and curiosity, I immersed myself to find out the reason why it's so hard to change problematic patterns of behavior...our unwanted habits like alcohol, nicotine, drugs, food, screen time/social media, chronic anxiety and stress, and unfulfilling relationships.
Knowing how my life was transformed by changing a single habit, I felt a strong desire to pay it forward. Using my life experience and new knowledge, I became a Certified Coach. It's been a fascinating journey of peeling back the layers to re-discover my true self. I now have the pleasure in guiding others to reconnect with their true self and navigate habits that are holding them back so they can reclaim optimal well-being, freedom, and happiness. I absolutely love what I do.

I believe in inclusivity and do not discriminate in my practices based on personal choices regarding alcohol consumption, use of medicinal or herbal remedies. I do not require abstinence from alcohol, medicinal or herbal remedies from any client, business partner, business supplier, family or friends.

My ethos promotes respect for individual choices and a supportive environment, both within my business and the people I serve.
